Vice President, Global Medical Affairs
Vanita Sharma brings deep experience in strategic engagement, advocacy, and alliance leadership across the biotherapeutic, biopharma, and pharmaceutical sectors.
At Strongbridge Biopharma, she led global strategies for advocacy, public policy, and patient engagement across the company’s rare disease portfolio. At Iovance Biotherapeutics, she served as Vice President of Strategic Engagement and Operations, working at the leading edge of tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte therapy for cancer. A recognized thought leader and frequent conference panelist, she is a recipient of the WEGO Health Champion for Patient Collaboration award.
In her role as Vice President, Global Medical Affairs of Therakos, Vanita is focused on building the relationships and generating the evidence that expands that potential: deeper partnerships with medical and patient communities, stronger ties with global stakeholders, and a growing body of science that helps more patients access a therapy that restores immune balance rather than disrupting it.
Vanita earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from Virginia Commonwealth University and completed her post-doctoral program at Rutgers University.
